Welcome back to the snatched edges podcast, I am your host Ebuni and today we are going to be talking about Healthy Hair Challenges. Now we are well and true into January like, January is here, its still cold, it;s still grey outside in London but you know hopefully you New Years resolution hasn’t gone down the toilet were still exercising were still taking care of ourselves, were still eating right, being positive cause you know 2018 has just started we shouldn't be falling off the dust yet but in case you had I wanted to try and start a challenge, were a little bit late in the month but to give you all sometime to adjust because I know that when January kicks out around we can all be really excited and have lots of energy to do things but the first time we slip up we kinda fall off track completely, so I thought I gave everybody a little bit time to fall back into their routine and then you know kill em with the shoulders.

So what I am doing is starting up a 21 day email challenge, it's completely free all you have to do is sign up, the link will be in the description box or you can go to my website www.ebuniajiguah.com and well be just going through the basics on how to get your hair into shape. How to start a regime, how often you wash your hair, what products you should use, why your wash day shouldn’t take you the whole day or the whole weekend or 3-5 days; doesn’t need to be that long, selecting the correct products for your hair type, your texture, your lifestyle. Not everybody can use heavy oils on their hair - maybe they have to wash their hair often, maybe you have a protective style and you kinda don’t know what you're doing. This is for my natural girls, my relaxed girls, my girls with weaves, wigs, whoever you are - anybody can get it.

So I hope you guys will join this challenge with me because a lot of you really seem to like the checklist and needed a little bit more info and a little bit more help and support so as I said, it's completely free all you need to do is sign up you’ll get a ebook to work from you can email me for support and help or ideas at any times. I look forward to seeing your pictures of how your hair grows, how you are making sure you have healthy habits, and how we are no longer snatching our edges.

Okay so now that we’ve got that all out the way, let’s get to the main part of the episode. And I have to say that I’m so perplexed as I … as I told you guys about this. So when I’m not doing hair or reading or studying or whatever I spend a lot of my time writing for other bloggers, hair salons. Basically just doing a lot of freelance work and a lot of the request I have got recently, have really just been ridiculous, that people are asking me to do dumb shit. And I can't believe it! And I’m like, I can't spread nonsense. So I have gathered together some of the requests to write about, and some of the things I’ve seen online that kind of made me sick and just. And I just feel like ladies, we need to do better because if you're going online and searching for “How to grow your hair fast” All hair grows at about half of an inch a month. Every color in between, your hair grows about half an inch in a month. If you're not seeing that, it’s something that you're doing wrong and that is what needs to be addressed. No product, no potion, no witchcraft, no herbs from your village people are going to make your hair grow faster unless you are addressing the reason why it's not growing fast in the first place.

So the ones I came across a few years ago which seem to keep coming back around and I just think you guys are so silly, is the Inversion Method. Now basically what you have to do for the inversion method is to stand on your head, like do a headstand or atleast out your head up-side-down for a few minutes a day. Some people say ‘As much time you spend on you can spend up-side-down would be really good for it’. I’m like am I reading a book? Is this Ronald Dolph? Is this like the Twits? Where they have to stand on the ceiling, like what kind  of foolishness makes you think ‘Okay, yeah If i put my head between my legs for a little bit and let all the blood rush to my head, my hair is magically going to grow.’? Cause’ your body is fed up so that the blood can travel to your scalp. Think about it, your brain is in your head, when you're standing up you're able to function. Well clearly these people can't cause’ obviously there's something missing if they think that ‘Let me just be up-side-down for a couple minutes a day and my hair is going to grow’. People are spitting absolute lies on the internet or even on Youtube. They’ll be like ‘Hi guys, so I just tried out the Inversion Method and my hair grew 24 inches in 24 hours, you guys should try it too but be really careful if you got back problems and’ I’m like “Why are you guys spuing nonsense?” like you guys just have no conscience out here telling people to break their necks all in the name of hair growth. Before you try this one, relax yourself in it, being up-side-down is not going to make your hair grow. Your body is able to transport blood to your scalp sufficiently with you being up-side-down, it doesn;t need your help. Okay? Maybe in the future natural selection will choose people that have got their heads where their feet are and their feet where their heads are so that you know you can have long hair, sweeping the ground with it because otherwise I feel like we would have been made that way.
